Arriving Myanmar - Yangon

Arrived in Myanmar and this was the first picture we took. Gives you a bit of an idea of the poverty here. People actually live in this building... Average wage apparently in this country work out to a little over $1 US a day.A busy street in Yangon.Market in busy Yangon. I have several pictures of the numerous unappetizing food sold here!Entrance to Shwedagon Pagoda. Despite the poverty, the poor donate money like it is going out of style and they build the most amazing temples/pagodas you have ever seen. This is one of the most well known and important pagodas in all of Myanmar.

Myanmar would be a photographers dream come true. You see hundreds of things everyday where you say to your self - ''I wish I had a picture of that". This is one of those few times you manage to get your camera out in time. But this is just a normal day in Yangon for the locals...

And to demonstrate the inequalities suffered here - this is a Restaurant!!! There a few rich people here as well whom can actually afford to eat here. The majority of them work for the government...
