Donsol

So we went from on great diving experience seeing the Thrasher Shark, to one great snorkelling site where we could see the Whale Shark.  These things are about the size of a school bus, and the waters of Donsol are teaming with them.  They feed on the plankton in the shallow water, so once you find them you can acutally just swim along with them for as long as they allow.  For the most part, they are very forgiving and not easily bothered.  You could have easily grabbed on and gone for a ride, but that wasn't recommeneded!  It was supposed to be a non-intrusive experience.  We followed many for 10 + mins, just swimming along these giant creatures.  A surreal experience to say the least that we REALLY enjoyed.

We weren't the only ones swimming with these guys... there were many fish following along underneath as well.

The only picture we have that shows a bit of reference.  Because the visibility (thanks to the plankton) was so bad, I couldn't get a picture from a distance.  So here is Mouck swimming right beside one of the 3 whale sharks we saw.  Obviously we can only fit in a very small portion of it's mid-section!
