Camsur Watersports Complex

After swimming with whale sharks we decided to do some wakeboarding.  We were very excited to check out Camsur Watersports Complex, which has apparently earned the title of 'best wakeboard cable park in the world' according to those in the world of wakeboarding.  I have to admit that it was a pretty cool place and I litterally wakeboarded until I could go no longer; missing the last day thanks to injuries to my back and knee.  It was quite a bit different, and something to get used to (wakeboarding by cable instead of a boat) however one definite advantage is that you can go for as long and as many runs as you like.  You learn quickly that going behind a boat limits your exhaustion, and that it is very difficult to wakeboard all day!

Anyway, here is a few pictures of us boarding.  Below is me launching myself off one of the many jumps...

And here is one of the many rail slides...

The first night at the park... this is where you line up to get the rope.

Mouck showing us one of his many tricks as he launches himself off a jump!

Another jump of Moucks... something isn't looking right!  I think you can guess how this one ended.  Mouck was landing most of his jumps by the end of the 4 days, however luckily I didn't get any of them on film...  :)

Jillene tearing it up...

A great little move Jillene liked to perform when you go around the last corner on the cable; it tends to really whip you so you had to be ready for it and cutting in the right direction.  Jillene wasn't in the right place doing the right thing on this one!

Our little 'Tiki Huts' where we stayed right next to the lake...  Couldn't have asked for better accomodation, or to be any closer to the action.
The park...

Well I think everyone of us enjoyed our time at CWC, and we certainly all learned a lot.  Some of us about wakeboarding and improving on our skills, I learned more than anything to pace myself, as I would have got more wakeboarding in if I had done just that!
