Giron and our Flight to Cali

Our Next stop was Giron.  Just needed a place to stay closer to the Bucaramanga airport so we could catch a flight out in the early AM to Cali and start out adventure towards the Pacific.  It was better than the alternative, which would have been to stay further away in a huge city.  In the end, we didn't spend a ton of time here.  But it was a really nice little town, we stayed in a really nice little place, and we did enjoy the time we had...

And then there was our flight.  The day that seemed to never end.  We had a connecting flight in Bogota that we missed because our flight in the morning was 2 hours late.  So lots of time spent in the airport.  Then our new, much later flight out of Bogota to Cali was late as well!  So even more time spent in the airport.  Declan was a trooper and took it all in stride, despite not being able to nap. 

 

 It seems every time we're in an airport Declan makes a friend... It was no different this time.  A little Brazilian boy actually seemed to get a kick out of Declan and shared all his toys with him.  The 2 of them entertained each other for quite some time.

After our Brazilian friend had to get on his flight though, it was lights out.  It'd been a long day with no naps and there was no keeping his eyes open!   We were all tired...
