A crazy tree!

Sri Pada... when we arrived. We just beat what ended up being a long 6 - 8 hour rain storm. We were glad we didn't delay leaving Ella. We started our hike at 4:00am, in order to make it to the stop for sunrise. There are steps all the way up, as this is a famous Buddhist pilgrimage site. It is so popular that the path is even lit throught the night, as so many people come to climb to the top, they do so 24hrs a day! Made it easier for the night time ascent to see sunrise.
