Closing out CR Trip 2012

Well it's been more than 6 months, so I'd say we're long over due for an update.  Last years trip to Costa Rica seems like forever ago, and we're just a few days away from heading back, but we might as well add a few picks from our last days there last year.  I know I hadn't updated the blog easily for the last month there.  And the changes in Declan can easily be seen.  Here are a few I liked...

We took the little guy to Monte Verde for a couple days and did lots of cloud forest/jungle walks.  It certainly is a beautiful place, and it completely up to private 'for profit' organizations to safeguard the protected areas (which is certainly a different approach), but for the most part they seem to be doing a good job.  Was a great time... and we saw a number of cool little critters.  We've been lucky enough to explore enough places thats it's starting to be a challenge to see something new... but below we say our first sloth, so that was pretty cool!

 Back to the pool though as soon as we got back.  :)

 Sadly the trip did come to an end, and we needed to come home...  Declan got to enjoy his first 3 months of life (less 3 weeks it took to get a birth certificate and passport) in the warm, humid, healthy climates of Costa Rica and without a doubt we felt he flourished.  I would recommend this to anyone and everyone if they can pull it off.  Easily the best decision we've made so far as parents.
