Auntie Jen's Photo Shoot and a few others...

Just weighed the little guy yesterday and he's up to 10 1/2 lbs.  So he's getting big fast; too fast if you ask me.  But it's a testiment to his health and moms milk.  So we're happy!

Jillene was excited to try out Jennifer's expertise in taking baby photos, so we booked a photo shoot.  Got a few good ones; but that is to be expected when I we combined took a little more than 500 shots over 3 hours (between feedings and sessions of cleaning up a few evactuations of the bowel).  Going to need to buy a bigger hard drive!  This is getting crazy...

 The mornin of the photo shoot... should have booked it a little earlier.  We were wide awake and has some 'gas smiles'.

 My favorite expression of his that he drops all the time... could use a little more lower lip though. He likes to extend that right out most days.  I think we snapped this pic just as it was retracting...

2 weeks old and we're loving it....

So as of today Declan is officially 2 weeks old.  It's been a super fun 2 weeks, and we can't believe how fast it's gone.  We're your typical new parents whom are over the moon with the new addition to our family and suffer from a blind bias thinking every face and move he makes is the cutest thing in the world.  Thus the camera has been snapping away like mad; thought it would nice to share a few of our favorites from Declan's first eventful week in the outside world!

 Some people will know this picture... I remake of one that was done with Dad when he was just a few days old with the same stuffed animal.

The little guy after a feeding... loves being next to mom and could curl up here and sleep for the rest of his life it seems if you let him.

 Super comfortable with the water.  Never made a peep during the first bath, just hung out and took in the experience.

 Time to meet the crew on the eve they got back from Costa Rica. Everyone was super excited to see him, and all got their turn to hold him.

Coming back late at night after a hockey game.  Not sure why we even bought this guy a bassinet for next to the bed.  Normally he'll sleep in it during the night in between a few feedings, but if dad's not around mom can't bring herself to sleep alone.  Both look pretty comfy...

Normally I just get peed on during changes (almost daily!), but this day was a mixture of 1 & 2 in an overly full diaper.  Man, what feels so warm...
